Advice from the Prophet (pbuh) Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I requested the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) to teach me a supplication which I could recite in my Salat (prayer). Thereupon he said: اللهمّ إني ظلمت نفسي .... [Bukhari and Muslim]

Advice from the Prophet (pbuh) Look at the status of Abu Bakr (R), the noblest man of this Ummah and then look at the wordings of this Du’aa. How humbly and sincerely should we be, when we recite this Du’aa.

Prayer of forgiveness after Durood اَللّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا O Allah! Indeed, I [I] have wronged myself with excessive wrongs;

with excessive wrongs; اَللّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا O Allah! Indeed, I [I] have wronged myself with excessive wrongs; O Allah!

with excessive wrongs; اَللّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا O Allah! Indeed, I [I] have wronged myself with excessive wrongs; إِنَّه، إِنَّهُمْ إِنَّكَ إِنَّكُمْ إِنَّنَا إِنَّهَا Indeed I إِنِّي

ماَ تَظْلِمْ ماَ تَظْلِمُوا اَللّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا O Allah! Indeed, I [I] have wronged myself with excessive wrongs; تَظْلِم ظَلَمَتْ يَظْلِمُ يَظْلِمُونَ ظَلَمَ ظَلَمُوا ماَ تَظْلِمْ ماَ تَظْلِمُوا اِظْلِمْ اِظْلِمُوا تَظْلِمُ تَظْلِمُونَ ظَلَمْتَ ظَلَمْتُمْ أَظْلِمُ نَظْلِمُ ظَلَمْتُ ظَلَمْنَا

with excessive wrongs; اَللّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا O Allah! Indeed, I [I] have wronged myself with excessive wrongs; *293 + نَفْس نُفُوس، أَنْفُس Broken plural جمع مكسّر

with excessive wrongs; اَللّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا O Allah! Indeed, I [I] have wronged myself with excessive wrongs; *74 ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا Many Excessive wrongs

with excessive wrongs; اَللّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا O Allah! Indeed, I [I] have wronged myself with excessive wrongs; To add emphasis: Verb is followed by its Noun Verb Noun ظَلَمْتُ ظُلْمًا I have wronged wrong = wronged too much

Practice with imagination, feelings and prayer اَللّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ [I] have wronged Indeed, I O Allah! نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا with excessive wrongs; Myself

وَّلاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ and none can forgive the sins except You;

وَ لاَ يَغْفِرُ وَّلاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ And No/None and none can forgive the sins except You; وَ لاَ يَغْفِرُ And No/None He forgives

وَّلاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ and none can forgive the sins except You; يَغْفِرُ يَغْفِرُونَ غَفَرَ غَفَرُوا لاَ تَغْفِرْ لاَ تَغْفِرُوا اِغْفِرْ اِغْفِرُوا تَغْفِرُ تَغْفِرُونَ غَفَرْتَ غَفَرْتُرْ غَافِر أَغْفِرُ نَغْفِرُ غَفَرْتُ غَفَرْنَا مَغْفُور تَغْفِر غَفَرَتْ مَغْفِرَة

ذَنْبٌ ذُنُوب وَّلاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ + sins sin *37 and none can forgive the sins except You; + ذَنْبٌ *37 ذُنُوب sins sin جمع مكسّر

ذَنْب: ذُنُوب sin نَفْس: نُفُوس soul بَيت: بُيُوت house

إِلاَّ أَنْتَ وَّلاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ Except You and none can forgive the sins except You; إِلاَّ أَنْتَ Except You

وَّلاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ Message from: وَّلاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ and none can forgive the sins except You; Nobody’s recommendation will work None can help Only You can forgive!

Practice with imagination, feelings and prayer وَّلاَ يَغْفِرُ can forgive and none الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ except You; the sins

مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي So forgive me (my sins) out of Your forgiveness and have mercy on me.

مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي So forgive me (my sins) out of Your forgiveness and have mercy on me. غَفَرَ He forgave يَغْفِرُ He forgives Forgive..!! اِغْفِر

مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي So forgive me (my sins) out of Your forgiveness and have mercy on me. فَـ اغْفِرْ لِيْ So / Then / Hence Forgive..!! me

مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي So forgive me (my sins) out of Your forgiveness and have mercy on me. *197 مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ From your Forgiveness (اپنی خاص بخشش سے)

مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي So forgive me (my sins) out of Your forgiveness and have mercy on me. يَغْفِرُ يَغْفِرُونَ غَفَرَ غَفَرُوا لاَ تَغْفِرْ لاَ تَغْفِرُوا اِغْفِرْ اِغْفِرُوا تَغْفِرُ تَغْفِرُونَ غَفَرْتَ غَفَرْتُرْ غَافِر أَغْفِرُ نَغْفِرُ غَفَرْتُ غَفَرْنَا مَغْفُور تَغْفِر غَفَرَتْ مَغْفِرَة

كَمْ رِيَال عِنْدِكَ ؟

عِنْدَهٗ عِنْدَهُمْ عِنْدَكَ عِنْدَكُمْ عِنْدِي عِنْدَنَا عِنْدَهَا He has; Near him عِنْدَهٗ They have; Near them عِنْدَهُمْ You have; Near you عِنْدَكَ عِنْدَكُمْ I have; Near me عِنْدِي We have; Near us عِنْدَنَا She has; Near her عِنْدَهَا 197*

مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي So forgive me (my sins) out of Your forgiveness and have mercy on me. To add emphasis: Verb is followed by its Noun Noun Verb اغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرةً forgiveness Forgive me

مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي So forgive me (my sins) out of Your forgiveness and have mercy on me. وَ ارْحَمْـ نِيْ and Have mercy..!! me

مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي So forgive me (my sins) out of Your forgiveness and have mercy on me. Excellent Examples for اِفْعَلْ …….Can you translate?? اِغْفِرْ اِرْحَمْ اِهْدِ اِرْفَعْ اُجْبُرْ اُرْزُقْ عَافِ Other types Another advanced type

مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ Message from: فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي So forgive me (my sins) out of Your forgiveness and have mercy on me. Whatever I do, I can neither erase my sins, nor justify them I can only hope for Your forgiveness and mercy

فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي Practice with imagination, feelings and prayer فَاغْفِرْ لِي me (my sins) So forgive مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي and have mercy on me. out of Your forgiveness

(are) the Oft-Forgiving إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ Indeed You! You (Alone) (are) the Oft-Forgiving the Most Merciful.

(are) the Oft-Forgiving إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ Indeed You! You (Alone) (are) the Oft-Forgiving the Most Merciful. إِنَّـ كَ أَنْتَ Indeed / Certainly You

(are) the Oft-Forgiving إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ Indeed You! You (Alone) (are) the Oft-Forgiving the Most Merciful. *91 Oft-forgiving

Continuously Merciful إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ Indeed You! You (Alone) (are) the Oft-Forgiving the Most Merciful. Continuously Merciful

(are) the Oft-Forgiving Message from: إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ Indeed You! You (Alone) (are) the Oft-Forgiving the Most Merciful. Despite my sins, my survival till today is evidence of Your mercy

Practice with imagination, feelings and prayer إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ the Most Merciful. (are) the Oft- Forgiving You (Alone) Indeed You!

It has broken the law! Therefore, it is called “Broken Plural.” Any plural that doesn’t follow the law of “ون” or “ين” (as we studied earlier, for example: plural of مُسْلِم is مُسلِمُون، مُسْلِمِين ) It has broken the law! Therefore, it is called “Broken Plural.” نَفْس : soul (أَنْفُس، نُفُوس) نفسون، نفسين ذَنْب : sin (ذُنُوب) ذنبون، ذبنين

1 2 Two Types of Plurals مُسْلِمُون، مُسْلِمِين، كَافِرون، كَافِرِين، Solid Plural جمع سَالِم مُسْلِمُون، مُسْلِمِين، كَافِرون، كَافِرِين، Broken Plural جمع مُكَسَّر أَنْفُس، نُفُوس ذُنُوب The tense for broken plural is singular feminine!!! (Later)

As we complete the Salah… Ask for forgiveness as we end the Salah That includes determination to stick to the right path after the Salah. This prayer was taught by the Prophet pbuh to Abu Bakr (R), the best person of the Ummah. And look at the message… Let us live from “Salah to Salah”. We will come again in the next Salah and ask again.

with excessive wrongs; Prayer after Durood 74* 293* 266* اَللّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا O Allah! Indeed, I [I] have wronged Myself with excessive wrongs; 95* وَّلاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ and none can forgive the sins except You;

مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي Prayer after Durood 197 فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي So forgive me out of Your forgiveness and have mercy on me. 91 81 إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ Indeed You! You (Alone) (are) the Oft-Forgiving the Most Merciful.
